The atenek.ch website does not use profiling cookies or third-party advertising tracking tools (no Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Facebook Pixel, Hotjar or the like). Typefaces (fonts) are hosted directly on our own infrastructure and do not entail connections to third-party servers.
To understand how the site is used in purely statistical terms, we employ Umami, an anonymous, privacy-friendly analytics tool installed on our own infrastructure (self-hosted). Umami does not use cookies, does not track users across different sites and does not collect data that could identify you: it records exclusively aggregated and anonymous data (such as the number of visits, most viewed pages, device type and general origin), with an anonymized IP address. For this reason, and in accordance with the applicable legislation, this tool does not require your prior consent.
Therefore, browsing does not require your consent to non-necessary cookies, because such cookies are not installed.
2. What cookies and similar technologies are
Cookies are small text files that websites save on the user's device. Similar technologies (local storage, pixels) perform analogous functions. They are distinguished according to their purpose and who manages them (first party / third parties).

The only data that may be stored on your device is the technical data that records your consent choice (Necessary category), so that the banner is not needlessly shown to you again.
